Tools have emerged in order to capture, document and track those tags and links, forming new structures of identity and meaning.
The emergence of "attention-based ecosystems on proprietary platforms, while others are attempting to broaden the use and interoperability of attention metadata so that communities and other attention-defined structures can emerge on the open Web."
