Goodbye Food Pyramid, Hello Dinner Plate! #nutrition #diet #icon

For my sister, Master Nutritionist and FoodNet researcher at CDC:

The new "balanced, basic food groups" symbol - a plate - is meant to give consumers a fast, simple reminder of the basics of a healthy diet. This new plate symbol will replace the old "4 basic food groups" pyramid. Launching new symbol this Thursday - keep your eyes open for that new dinner plate icon. http://nyti.ms/klWng6

Ability to switch #magnets on or off could revolutionize #computing & #datastorage - theoretical #physics

"What causes a magnet to be a magnet, and how can we control a magnet's behavior?

These are the questions that University at Buffalo researcher Igor Zutic, a theoretical physicist, has been exploring over many years.

In the study publishing next week in the online open access journal PLoS Biology, the subjects' sense of justice was challenged in a two-player monetary fairness game, and their brain activity was simultaneously measured using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

#Robots learn to share, validating Hamilton's rule (w/ video) #behaviour
